About The Position

The main PACU has 20 beds and 2 isolation rooms, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) PACU has 9 beds. The Registered Nurse will care for patients across all medical specialties. The Registered Nurse conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. The Registered Nurse will provide family centered care for a diverse patient population. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employees will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Requirements

• 1 Year RN experience required
• Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment used in the perioperative setting
• Ability to assess the effectiveness of patient care and interventions
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies
• Ability to prioritize tasks for complex patient care
• Ability to communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing
• BSN required
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California and current American Heart Association CPR BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required

Nice To Haves

• At least 5 years of acute care Pediatric nursing experience and 2+ years of PACU experience preferred.
