Registered Nurse - PACU
About The Position
PACU RN assignment for a 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week and an ASAP start. This role follows an 8-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The RN will work in a post-anesthesia care setting, supporting patient recovery following surgical procedures. Weekend and holiday responsibilities are tied to on-call coverage, with on-call rotation approximately every 6th–7th weekend. During low census, the nurse may be placed on call, with callback pay applying and a 2-hour minimum if called back. Orientation-week hours are not guaranteed. During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times in compliance with facility policy.
Requirements
- Candidates must live outside the 50-mile radius requirement.
- Valid Wisconsin RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- At least 2 years of PACU experience
- Proficient in Epic charting
- Strong time management, adaptability, resilience, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Associate Degree or certificate
