About The Position

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements: Perform general nursing duties Perform suture/staple removal Perform wound care/dressing changes Drawing up medications; calling in medications Application of sterile fields Applying and removing casts and splints Locate any necessary films, test results, and/or reports for upcoming appointments Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers etc. Prepare charts for clinic and print out patient information as requested by the physician Schedule tests/procedures and surgeries and pre-cert as needed Schedule follow-up appointments Work in Hartselle location with physician weekly Assist other physician team members as needed Fill out disability, return-to-work and insurance forms Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms Friendly and professional patient communication Answering and returning patient phone calls Procedure education Escorting patient to and from exam rooms Respond to and chart patient messages Communicate test results to patients Must also possess: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent and highly motivated Initiative and self-discipline Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history Physical Demands: Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Frequently moving, pushing, pulling heavy patients and/or equipment Constant standing and walking Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Constantly work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling up to 50 lbs
