Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or surgical setting
  • Experience assisting with minor procedures and direct patient care
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards in a clinical environment
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and patient education skills
  • Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Current and active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Infection control and barrier precautions certification (per NYS requirement)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or cosmetic procedures preferred
  • Certification in Plastic Surgical Nursing (CPSN) or related specialty preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, including medical history, vital signs, and clinical assessments
  • Triage patients in-person and via phone; escalate concerns appropriately
  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and consultations
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and instructions
  • Perform post-operative care (e.g., dressing changes, suture removal)
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
  • Obtain patient consents and capture clinical photographs as
  • Monitor and follow up on lab results, pathology reports, and patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate , timely , and compliant documentation in the EMR
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
  • Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations across locations
  • Maintain inventory, check expirations, and coordinate supply needs
  • Respond to urgent clinical issues and support on-call communication protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient safety standards
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure high-quality care
