About The Position
IU Health is seeking expert Registered Nurses to join their team as a Safety Nurse at a leading medical device manufacturing company. This role involves providing first aid for work-related injuries and ensuring the safety and well-being of employees across multiple manufacturing sites in Bloomington, Spencer, and Ellettsville, requiring light travel. The position is part-time and offers opportunities for professional development and collaboration within IU Health, a comprehensive health system committed to advancing healthcare.
Requirements
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
- May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
