This is a nontraditional nursing career supporting and empowering first-time parents in the community. It offers a flexible, salaried position with no regularly scheduled weekends or holidays. The role serves clients in Tippecanoe and surrounding county areas, requiring candidates to live nearby for travel. The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a maternal and early childhood home visiting program that fosters long-term success for first-time parents and their babies, addressing systemic problems by taking a holistic, whole-family approach in conjunction with Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana. Nurse Home Visitors conduct home visits during pregnancy and continue until the child is two years old, providing coaching and care to first-time expectant clients. The nurse develops therapeutic relationships, utilizing reflection and motivational interviewing in a client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused manner. The Nurse Home Visitor must adhere to the highest standards in clinical nursing practice and follow the NFP model, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of NFP and Goodwill. The Nurse Home Visitor will work as part of a team including other Nurse Home Visitors and a Nurse Supervisor.
