About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing and coordinating competent, evidence‑based care across the care continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Clinical Nurse participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes, and support operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. Non-Invasive Cardiology Nurse The Non‑Invasive Cardiology Nurse provides specialized nursing support for diagnostic cardiac testing and procedures performed within the department. This role supports patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and clinical coordination for a variety of non‑invasive cardiac studies. Nurses in this area work closely with cardiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality patient care. This role requires strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs during cardiac testing. The nurse must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with fluctuating patient volumes and testing demands.

Requirements

  • ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program required.
  • Exception: Candidates without graduation from a nationally accredited program may be considered with more than two years of acute care experience; exceptions require CNO review and approval.
  • Basic Life Support (AHA) required.
  • Additional Advanced Life Support certifications may be required depending on unit or department specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Managing supply inventory and ordering
  • Scheduling patients
  • Assisting with copies of imaging requests for facilities or patients
  • Chart workups and patient preparation
  • Scanning and document management
  • Assignment and schedule management
  • Supporting clinical procedures performed in the department, including: Stress tests Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) Cardioversions Tilt table tests
  • Starting IVs for echo technologists and assisting with patient readiness
  • Collaborating with providers, technologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless workflow and care delivery
