Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Manager Non-Invasive Cardiology Full-Time, Exempt The standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. As this role supports team members across both day and night shifts, the manager is expected to develop an approach that ensures equitable support and engagement for all staff. This may include flexibility to work outside of traditional daytime hours as needed. Nebraska Medicine is seeking a confident and collaborative people leader to serve as Manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology. This role provides strategic and operational oversight of the Heart Station and Heart Monitoring Unit, including EKG services, cardiac monitoring operations, stress testing, and related cardiovascular diagnostic programs. The manager supports two supervisors (each leading approximately 25–29 team members), along with six leads and four senior technologists. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership presence, a passion for mentorship and staff development, and an interest in technical operations and IT collaboration. This leader partners closely with inpatient nursing and hospital leadership to ensure safe patient monitoring, operational excellence, and high-quality care delivery. Requirements

  • Minimum of four years health care experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in health care or business-related field or equivalent years of experience (one year of experience is equivalent to one year of education) required.
  • Demonstrated competent leadership and management skills required.
  • Demonstrated team building and staff development skills required.
  • Demonstrated excellent skills in written and oral communications skills required.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and negotiation skills required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum five years clinical experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years management experience preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare related accreditation agencies (JCAHO, ICAEL, ICAVL, and OSHA) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital information to include: computer system, treadmill equipment, EKG equipment, holter equipment, CVIS/MUSE computerized EKG storage system, GE/Marquette Monitoring system, gems Lite radio telephonic, stethoscope, blood pressure monitor, oiximeter, photocopy machine, fax machine, diasonic computer system, Mars holster system, Central Scope Telemetry System preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evaluate the delivery of the daily administrative and clinical operation of Heart Station and Heart Monitoring Unit to include ,EKG Services, CVIS/MUSE System, administration, exercise/pharmacological stress testing, transtelephonics arrhythmia monitoring, holter lab, manage telemetry unit, escort, and secretaries to ensure high quality care to customers at Nebraska Medicine.
  • Works in collaboration with inpatient managers using common goals for safe monitoring of all patients.
