Non Invasive Cardiology Tech
About The Position
The Non-Invasive (NIV) Cardiology Techs at Dearborn Hospital are a jack of all trades in cardiac testing. They work primarily in the Stress Lab doing a variety of different stress tests including exercise treadmill tests, nuclear stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. In addition, they also perform tilt table testing and they set-up patients with cardiac monitors (Holters and Events). The NIV Cardiology Techs also rotate through the EKG department as well and perform EKG’s on inpatients and outpatients, as well as manage the EKG database system for the hospital. They are a vital piece to the Cardiology team and assist in other projects as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- 1 Year Experience in EKG Tech
Nice To Haves
- 6 months to 1 year of stress testing experience preferred.
