Registered Nurse (RN) NICU Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, Texas, 75093 Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours 7:00pm – 7:00am NICU Department highlights: · 45 bed Level IV NICU caring for babies as early as 22 weeks gestation · Family centered care with new family center · Strong staff engagement and collaboration · Leadership supportive of staff and growth and development through NCAP program Here’s What You Need · Diploma in Nursing or · Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or · BSN preferred · Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required · 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required · 2 years of NICU experience preferred · RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly · NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required · PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required · NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required · CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required What You Will Do · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing or
