Learn more at northernnevadahealth.com This NICU Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient night shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic NICU Registered Nurse to deliver care to patients utilizing assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies by State and job setting.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current Nevada nursing license.
  • Current BLS certificate. NRP within 6 mo. of hire. STABLE within 6 mo of hire
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Neonatal nursing experience preferred.
  • Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs durng the post partum period, while in the hospital setting
  • Caring for the infants and educating mothers about care.
  • Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowlede and skill.
  • Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
