About The Position

Saint Luke's Health System is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for their Neurology Clinic at the Plaza. This position involves providing professional nursing care to clinic patients, adhering to established standards and practices. The role includes telephone triage, managing patient flow, coordinating patient care, and scheduling emergent appointments. The nurse will also identify patient and family learning needs, provide advice and recommendations, insert intravenous access with medication, and perform administrative duties as assigned. The role requires delegating tasks to clinical staff, acting as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing, and entering admission orders. The ideal candidate will be able to work both in a team and autonomously, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. The position may also involve covering Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed. Requirements

  • Less than 1 year Applicable Experience
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse - Various
  • Associate Degree

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
  • Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.
  • Schedule emergent need patient appointments.
  • Identify learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
  • Insert intravenous access with medication.
  • Provide administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need.
  • Delegate tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
  • Act as subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
  • Enter admission orders as directed by provider.
  • Responsible for managing expired samples.
  • May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties, LPN job duties, or other office duties as needed.
