We provide a wide range of public and environmental health services to Mesa County residents and, in some programs, the region. The Public Health Nurse delivers direct clinical services and community-based care with a strong emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and the protection of individual and family well-being. This role plays a key part in providing immunizations, reproductive health services, community outreach, and other essential public health functions in alignment with evidence-based guidelines and community needs. The Nurse position actively works to connect underserved populations with vital health resources and supports program activities that reflect Mesa County Public Health priorities. All duties are performed within the scope of practice defined by the Colorado Nurse Practice Act.
