About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse for a night-shift assignment on adult MS/Tele units. The ideal candidate will be clinically strong, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment. This position is offered at a local rate only based on proximity requirements.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification (must be current or able to recertify)
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years)
- Experience in hospitals of similar size, complexity, or trauma level
- Strong IV skills, lab draws, and telemetry monitoring experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts
- Required to work every other weekend
- Some holiday coverage required
- Excessive time-off requests or fixed weekly schedules will not be approved
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers
- Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
- Initiate and manage IV therapy and perform venipuncture for lab draws
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data and report changes appropriately
- Perform accurate nursing assessments and deliver patient-centered care
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Work with minimal orientation while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
