About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical Surgical (Med Surg) team within a community-based hospital setting. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse adult patient population. The RN will provide direct care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, supporting recovery, managing acute and chronic illnesses, and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Hampshire or compact state)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Med Surg or acute care preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple patients in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Medical Surgical or acute care hospital settings
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
  • BSN preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making
  • Effective time management and prioritization
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Patient-centered care approach
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform patient assessments, including physical evaluations and ongoing monitoring
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other clinical staff
  • Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
  • Support admissions, transfers, and discharges
