Heartline Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a Medical Cardiology Progressive Care Unit opportunity. The Registered Nurse in Medical Cardiology PCU provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care for higher-acuity cardiac patients requiring progressive levels of monitoring and intervention. This role assumes primary accountability for coordinating and delivering individualized care through a collaborative, team-based approach focused on safety, quality, and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include completing age-appropriate admission and ongoing assessments, developing and revising interdisciplinary plans of care, administering treatments and medications, and documenting care accurately within electronic medical record systems. The RN utilizes critical thinking, delegation, and communication skills to support effective care coordination and positive patient experiences in a progressive care environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved nursing program eligible for Virginia licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure
- CPR certification required
- Ability to obtain ACLS, PALS, or NRP certifications as required by the department
- Computer proficiency required for electronic medical record documentation
- Successful completion of orientation and competency requirements
- Ability to meet essential job functions
