About The Position

This full-time position will function as an extension of the Director of Nursing/Residential Services on a shift to provide leadership and direction for the Nursing/Residential Department. This position accomplishes care through supervision, support and assistance to RN’s, other Nursing/Residential staff and others. This position will also provide administrative guidance during off duty hours as needed. Additionally, this position supports treatment of clients that are family driven and youth guided.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health-related field from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of experience as a Registered Nurse to include two years in a supervisory, administrative or consultative capacity and two years in a psychiatric setting.
• Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence.
• Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
• Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
• Employees in this classification are subject to call-in and, therefore, will be required to provide the facility with a phone number at which they can be reached.
• Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mental health, specifically working with children and adolescents who have behavioral and learning disabilities.
• Experience working as a team to audit medical records.
