This position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Registered Nurse Manager will supervise and support nursing personnel, manage scheduling, ensure adherence to healthcare standards and regulations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes. This position requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively manage the nursing unit.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care standards, and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations, particularly those pertaining to nursing practice and patient safety.
  • An associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Must hold a valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse license issued by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, lead, and mentor nursing staff on a daily basis, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and nursing assistants.
  • Manage staff assignments, ensuring adequate coverage and appropriate staffing levels based on patient acuity and care needs.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients in accordance with nursing best practices and facility policies.
  • Manage day-to-day activities within the nursing unit, including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act and healthcare safety standards.
  • Organize and facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to ensure their skills and knowledge remain current.
