About The Position

The Nurse Manager, Primary Care (NM, PC) serves as a first level supervisor who functions under the direction and guidance of the Chief Nurse, Primary Care. S/he enhances the development and implementation of the Primary Care's Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Program by working in partnership with their site leadership as well as with Primary Care Leadership at the Medical Center. The Nurse Manager is accountable and responsible for possessing the knowledge and skills to: Communicate and interact appropriately and courteously with all internal and external customers Maintain confidentiality of electronic, written, and/or verbal patient/employee information Demonstrate working practices that include adherence to Infection Control standards and the safe use and operation of equipment, including adherence to RME requirements Set program standards for clinical practice, administration, education and assures their implementation Personnel management including schedules, counseling, and evaluation of staff Contribute to forecasting requirements necessary to long-range program planning and development of nursing and related programs for effective delivery of health services Proficiently utilize local and national database to determine appropriate actions for areas of improvement Performing additional duties as assigned
