RN - Registered Nurse Manager - Emergency Department - Days
About The Position
Manage emergency services activities, workflow and nursing resources. Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assist with hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of nursing staff. Identiy and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit. Monitor and adhere to budget(s). Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Requirements
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Required professional licensure/certification and diploma from an accredited school/college of Nursing.
- 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
