Hospital Location: St. Luke’s Miners Campus, Rehabilitation and Nursing Center – Coaldale SHIFT DETAILS: Positions may be available on various shifts. Holiday and weekend requirements per unit and company policies Ability to complete initial 7 business days of classroom orientation followed by unit orientation (for all positions).

Requirements

  • RN: Minimum of one year nursing experience required.
  • Maintain current BLS certification.
  • LPN: New or experienced.
  • Maintain current BLS certification.
  • Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Graduate of accredited Pennsylvania nursing school for LPN.
  • Current Pennsylvania License.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in geriatric care or medical-surgical experience with a geriatric populace is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Registered Nurse Provides nursing care through the nursing process, assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, evaluates and documents the effects of care.
  • Works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse - Participates in interdisciplinary team and rehab meetings.
  • Administers treatments and medications according to physician’s orders accurately and in a timely manner records the treatments and medications
  • Assumes and reports to the RN changes in resident/patient condition.
  • Assists with admission/transfer/discharge of residents/patients.
  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
