Our state of the art brand new 22 bed Medical Intermediate Care Unit (4B) is due to open in October 2024. We are looking for motivated nurses who are looking to professionally grow with us! This unit is primarily pulmonary focused and includes caring for patients who are mechanically ventilated via tracheostomy, zephyr valve post op, continuous BiPAP, High flow nasal cannula, continuous capnography monitoring, pre/post cardiac catheterization, ablation, pacemaker, and management of a multitude of cardiac drips, amongst other diagnoses needing this level of care. Nursing skills include competent in basic dysrhythmia, ACLS, and exudes good critical thinking skills. Strong team work is essential in promoting a positive working environment leading to positive patient outcomes. Job Description Purpose & Scope: Across all levels, the registered professional nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of their assigned patients. The RN is also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for this position.
