About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Utica, New York, United States. This is a travel assignment opportunity for a clinician who is confident in managing high-acuity stepdown patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role is for a Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMCU) with a Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week, starting June 15th. Floating is required. The unit is an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU / Stepdown) for adults (18+) with common diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory conditions (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op). It has 64 beds, including 15 Neuro-designated beds. The unit handles chronic vent patients (RT-supported, non-weanable) and uses equipment like temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Vapo systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience required
• Must have strong acute care and stepdown competency
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Active New York RN License (and all active RN licenses) required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• NURSYS verification required
• Updated resume must reflect relevant experience and travel history
• Skills checklist must match specialty
• Driver’s license must match candidate demographics
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at time of application
