About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Brooklyn, NY (11203) Duration: 14 Weeks Shift & Schedule Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM Hours per Week: 37.5 Shifts per Week: 3 (12.5 hours each) Compensation Pay Rate: $65 – $68 per hour

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of ICU / Critical Care nursing experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Education Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Primary Source Verification through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Responsibilities

Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring of vital signs and clinical status
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
Perform and assist with IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation
Operate, manage, and troubleshoot critical care equipment (e.g., ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps)
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment progression
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies
