MAIN FUNCTION: Serves as a cross-covering team member for the Wellness Clinic, which focuses on Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) management. The Infusion Center Registered Nurse provides direct patient care and infusion therapy services. Responsibilities include administering intravenous medications, chemotherapy/biologic agents, blood products, injections, and hydration therapies per provider orders; monitoring patients for infusion reactions and clinical emergencies; providing education and support to patients and families; ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR); and maintaining a safe clinical environment in compliance with hospital, state, and federal standards. The nurse collaborates with providers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care.
