About The Position

The Seattle VA Medical Center is seeking 2(two) Informaticist Registered Nurses(RN). The Informaticist RN should have extensive clinical background in various nursing areas and will exercise leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications. Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process, influences outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team, and executes position responsibilities that demonstrates leadership, experience, and creative approaches, and systematically evaluates current practice. Demonstrates the following core informatics functions to include content management, application support, health information technology system optimization, enterprise data management, business architecture management, partnership management, requirements management, and change management. Exercises leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility and network. Works closely to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of Veteran Affairs (VA) staff nationwide. Assists in directing the provision of education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization.

Requirements

  • Extensive clinical background in various nursing areas
  • Leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications
  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
