Position Summary: The Cardiac Recovery Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and compassionate pre and post-operative care to cardiovascular and vascular patients recovering from diagnostic and interventional angiograms, electrophysiology ablations, pediatric diagnostic and interventional procedures and cardiovascular open-heart surgery. The RN is responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring, maintaining hemodynamic stability, providing pain management, implementing early interventions for complications, and educating patients and their families throughout the post-procedure/postoperative recovery process.

Requirements

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Card required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Card required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Card required
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is also required unless waived by Nurse Executive Council review.
  • NIHSS Required

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate will have nursing experience in (specialty) in an acute care hospital.
  • One year PACU/Cardiac Recovery experience preferred
