The Pediatric and Adult 23-Hour Observation Unit is a low-acuity, 5-bed unit that provides short-term care for both pediatric and adult patients requiring overnight monitoring or postoperative observation. Typical patients are stable, recovering from minor surgical procedures. Team members provide focused assessments, patient and family education, and coordination of safe discharge planning within a 23-hour stay window. This position offers a balanced schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements, supporting strong work-life balance while delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Job Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
