About The Position

Be the hands-on heartbeat of a small, collaborative night team. You’ll support safe, comfortable observation stays for adult and pediatric patients, with time for meaningful connections and thorough discharge preparation—without weekend or holiday shifts. What You’ll Do Perform vital signs, intake/output, glucose checks, and other point-of-care tasks; promptly report changes to the RN. Assist with ADLs (hygiene, toileting, feeding), mobility/ambulation, fall-prevention rounding, and patient comfort. Support admissions and discharges: orient patients/families, gather belongings, and reinforce RN-led education. Obtain EKG and basic specimens (if trained/competency-validated); assist with equipment setup and simple troubleshooting. Document care accurately in the EMR flowsheets and maintain clear, respectful communication with patients and the care team. Keep rooms and common areas clean, stocked, and safe; perform quick room turnarounds and supply checks. Collaborate closely with your RN partners and ancillary teams to keep night operations smooth and on schedule. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
