Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes. The following units in Orangeburg will be taking part in the New Grad Blitz: Telemetry Unit (3 east): 45-bed remote telemetry, stroke certified unit treating acutely ill patients with medical problems related to renal disease, cardiac disease, respiratory disease, and other medical issues including post-surgical and dialysis patients. Scheduling: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts) Day shift (7am - 7pm) and Night shift available (7pm - 7am) Medical/Telemetry Unit (3 west): 30-bed medical unit with remote telemetry treating acutely ill patients with medical problems related to renal disease, cardiac disease, respiratory disease, and other medical issues including post-surgical and dialysis patients. Scheduling: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts) Day shift (7am - 7pm) and Night shift available (7pm - 7am) Medical/Surgical Unit (4 west): Dynamic 40-bed Medical-Surgical/Ortho unit that cares for a diverse adult patient population. Scheduling: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts) Day shift (7am - 7pm) and Night shift available (7pm - 7am) Stepdown Unit: 15-bed adult intermediate care unit treating acutely ill patients with medical problems related to renal disease, cardiac disease, respiratory disease, and other medical issues including post-surgical and dialysis patients.
