Registered Nurse - House Supervisor

About The Position
This position is for an RN House Supervisor working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role functions as an Administrative Clinical Supervisor overseeing nursing operations across multiple units including Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, and NICU. The supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight during off-shifts, ensuring safe staffing, efficient patient flow, and compliance with hospital policies. This role is primarily administrative with no direct patient care responsibilities and requires strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold an active New York RN license
- Maintain current Basic Life Support certification
- A minimum of two years of supervisory nursing experience is required, preferably in a hospital setting
- Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with hospital operations, staffing coordination, and clinical oversight is essential
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership experience overseeing nursing units is highly preferred
- Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Cerner is preferred
