Job Summary: Medi-Plex Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to the terminally ill Hospice patients a needed. This position will provide assistance and understanding to the family in the home care situation and in time of bereavement. The Registered Nurse will work as a member of the Hospice team in providing Hospice team in providing Hospice care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state
• Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments.
• Ability to supervise others appropriately,
• Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting.
• Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes.
• Completed Hospice training program.
• 2 + years of experience as a registered nurse
• Active patient contact within past three years

Responsibilities

• Access screens, triage and perform treatment ordered for patients
• Perform medical treatment as ordered by Physician
• Prepare and dispense prescribed medications
• Assist with examinations, procedures and other duties
• Oversee and coordinate the daily patient care
• Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation, etc.
• Complete EMR documentation and/or paper-based documentation
• Other duties as assigned such as new models of care and new types of procedures, etc.
