About The Position

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) joining our team at Eisenhower Center, a Specialized Residential setting focused on the rehabilitation and habilitation of individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), Mental Illness (MI), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The RN/Health Educator will provide high-quality care, support, and medical oversight to our residents, ensuring their health and well-being.

Requirements

  • Current and valid RN license in Michigan.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of nursing experience, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Previous experience with TBI/CMH residential care.
  • Advanced proficiency in documentation requirements.
  • Experience working with individuals with TBI, I/DD, MI, and ASD.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in nursing care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents with TBI, I/DD, MI, and ASD.
  • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health status, identifying any changes or concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the facility treatment team.
  • Educate residents and facility direct care staff about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
  • Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of care strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy for residents.
  • Assist with daily living activities and promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Traveling between facilities in Manchester, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti
