Provide education and training to staff as directed, including CPI and CPR classes. Assist with ensuring that staff meet regulatory requirements. Develops training or coaching to address system-wide or individual gaps in meeting performance standards. Provides nursing support to maintain skills and to monitor changing needs. This position facilitates evidenced-based research within a specialized area of nursing and clinical areas. Collaborates with medical practitioners to incorporate nursing processes into the plan of care for a specialized group of patients.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, Adult, Adolescent and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Previous experience as a nurse educator preferred
