About The Position

The Endoscopy Department at Milton Hospital is a specialized, fast-paced clinical environment that plays a vital role in patient care. The unit is organized into three connected areas—Pre-Op, Procedure, and Recovery—and most patients move through all three during their visit. This is a collaborative setting where teamwork, communication, and mutual support are essential to delivering safe, high-quality care. As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will provide hands-on care throughout the patient journey, working closely with physicians, CRNAs, and endoscopy technicians. This role is active and engaging, ideal for nurses who enjoy staying engaged and making a meaningful impact throughout their shift. The Registered Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager and is responsible for the total nursing care of patients within assigned unit.

Requirements

Minimum of two years’ medical/surgical experience
Current MA RN license
BLS and ACLS required with American Heart Association
Previous Endoscopy or critical care experience required
All staff be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

Outpatient and GI nursing preferred
Current IV skills preferred

Responsibilities

Delivering patient care across pre-procedure, procedural, and recovery phases
Safely assisting and transporting patients, including those under sedation
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure smooth workflows
Leading and supporting an Endoscopy Technician, including delegating tasks as needed
Communicating clearly, accepting feedback, and contributing positively to team goals
Responsible for the total nursing care of patients within assigned unit
