IU Health Bloomington Hospital Endoscopy unit has 5 endoscopy suites. The RNs in this role will service outpatient and inpatient needs for gastroenterology and pulmonology procedures. Our ideal candidate has previous experience working in a hospital setting with a background in procedural areas. This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and time management skills. There is a 30-minute response time for this role, and minimal on-call required. Nursing skills gained on this unit: Obtain SGNA and Trauma certifications Become a Certified Perianesthesia nurse Develop phenomenal procedural skills Understand the world of surgical services from Pre/Post, OR room, Endo, PACU, and more Refine time management skills Unit Successes/Designations: Innovation procedures including 2 new procedures in 2023 Began Fibroscan Testing Began ION Robotic Bronchoscopy Unit Culture Highlights: 1-Daisy Award Winner RN on team, with hopes to gain more! Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
