About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality care in a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center . This role requires strong clinical expertise in managing both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Experience in Level III Trauma and Stroke Center settings
• First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NIHSS (Stroke Certification) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Nice To Haves

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) certification

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in a general Emergency Department (adult & pediatric)
• Perform rapid patient assessments and triage
• Manage patients with complex conditions including: Multi-system organ dysfunction/failure Neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries Stroke (CVA) and seizure disorders Respiratory conditions, infections, and asthma Trauma cases including burns, fractures, and gunshot wounds
• Administer medications including: IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation Blood products
• Perform clinical procedures such as: IV insertion and maintenance Phlebotomy Central line care and management
• Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias
• Provide care for ventilated patients
• Identify and report abuse or behavioral health concerns
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using structured communication tools
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
