About The Position

Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This full-time Registered Nurse position is in the Emergency Department (ED) at Texas Health Arlington Memorial, located at 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012. The work hours are Full-Time (36 Hours a week) Day Shift from 11a-11p, consisting of 3/12 hour shifts per week. The department is a 50-bed ED, which includes a vertical treatment area called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment). It is a Level 3 trauma center and is Chest pain, CHF, and stroke accredited through TJC, having received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all three programs. Texas Health Arlington Memorial is also a Magnet facility. Texas Health Arlington Arlington Memorial is a 369-bed, acute-care, full-service hospital serving the community since 1958. It provides comprehensive cardiac care, women’s services, neurosciences, and emergency medicine. Additionally, it features a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, is an accredited Acute Heart Failure Center, and offers wellness services, outpatient surgery, and women’s imaging services. Texas Health Arlington Memorial is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, a Cycle III Chest Pain Center, and a designated Magnet hospital. Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• PALS - within 90 days of hire
• TNCC - within 12 months of hire
• ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse – within 12 months of hire
• 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
