About The Position

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Nursing diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) – required within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 30 days
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 6 months
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification – required within 6 months
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – required within 1 year

Responsibilities

Assess patient conditions, including pain management and reassessment after interventions
Perform nursing procedures and interventions as directed by providers
Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner
Respond promptly to patient needs and ensure proactive care delivery
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and side effects
Communicate medical information in clear, understandable terms
Provide guidance on follow-up care, lifestyle modifications, and prevention
Support patients and families in preparing for self-care after discharge
Deliver care in a high-acuity emergency setting
Assist with trauma and pediatric emergency cases as needed
Collaborate effectively with providers and care teams under pressure
Adhere to established clinical standards and protocols
