Geisinger is offering an Inpatient RN up to a $24,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates. The minimum hiring rate is $41.50, with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. This role involves assessing, planning, organizing, performing, and evaluating nursing activities to meet patient needs. The nurse will promote adaptive responses of patients and families to achieve the highest level of patient care, safety, and satisfaction, exhibiting compassionate care during patient-nurse interactions. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care and staff interaction, meeting qualifications for the assigned nursing unit, and ensuring an optimal patient and family experience. The position requires completing assessments, addressing the holistic needs of patients and families, formulating and providing a plan of care, delivering direct patient care (treatments, medications, diagnostic studies), and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions. The nurse will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, troubleshoot equipment, participate in unit-based decision-making utilizing evidence-based practice, and actively contribute to team goals and patient quality and safety programs.
