Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit - Full Time - Days

Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN, ADN, BSN, or MSN)
- Previous clinical nursing experience required.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse, or Graduate Nurse, Board Eligible.
- American Heart Association BLS required.
- Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in clinical, computer, and typing skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous CV/Post-Op open heart experience preferred
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and healthcare regulations (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation
- Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary
- Communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions with Physicians, Nursing Supervisors/Managers, and co-workers as appropriate
- Participate in the discharge planning process
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
