About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide healthcare services within a secure residential correctional setting. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the well-being of the population served.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and clinical care practices
- Ability to assess patient conditions and respond appropriately
- Experience with medication administration and care planning
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Administer medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor and assess patient health conditions and document findings accurately
- Develop, review, and evaluate individualized nursing care and intervention plans
- Ensure all care aligns with established treatment plans and clinical standards
- Maintain infection control practices and ensure a safe healthcare environment
- Manage and track medical inventory and supplies
- Prepare and maintain clinical and administrative reports
- Participate in team meetings, staff training, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Provide care in a secure, supervised environment while adhering to safety guidelines
