Requirements

Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred. Previous experience in clinical area of assignment preferred.
Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period, demonstrate patient teaching skills and compliance with protocol management of patients.
Member of NATCO and UNOS.
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

Responsibilities

You will participate in and oversee the comprehensive care of the pre- and post-transplant recipients, including pre-transplant evaluation and post-transplant follow-up care.
You will be responsible for ongoing program development, quality assurance, staff development and promotion of multi-disciplinary program activity in conjunction with all staff and leadership.
You will assure that all organ offers processed within the previous 24-hour period or previous business day have been processed.
