About The Position

The RN Coordinator serves as the expert for nursing practice in assigned department/unit/service line. The RN Coordinator is responsible for helping to create and promote a culture that promotes quality patient care and service excellence. Utilizes and teaches evidence based practice to develop the clinical competence of bedside caregivers. This position will engage and motivate staff to achieve a culture of clinical excellence by coaching, teaching, encouraging, demonstrating and role modeling expected behavior of staff.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Experience: 3 years in an acute hospital based nursing practice in area of specialty.
• License: Must be currently licensed
• Certification: Certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. Current BLS and ACLS certified

Nice To Haves

• Education: BSN, or enrolled in a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Nursing Management Serves as clinical expert and resource to staff members through leadership and education.
• Serves as a liaison for patients/families, physicians and between other facility departments to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Facilitates staff education and development
• Complies with all policies and procedures that pertain to HIPPA including the minimum necessary requirements for this position.
