With clinics located across Fresno, Kings, and Tulare counties, our team works together to deliver accessible, high quality care to every patient. The RN Manager is responsible for leading and managing medical clinical and back office operations in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) primary care clinic. This role oversees staffing, scheduling, standardized workflows, documentation processes, training, and operational readiness to support efficient, compliant clinical operations. This is an administrative leadership role that provides direct oversight of Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs).

Requirements

  • Active California RN license.
  • ADN required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum three years outpatient experience with one year in a supervisory role.
  • EHR proficiency.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in problem solving.
  • Commitment to patient centered care and quality improvement.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations applicable to primary care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Site Manager to align clinical and operational workflows and support smooth clinic functioning
  • Lead day to day back office operations to ensure efficient patient flow and staff coverage.
  • Supervise LVNs and MAs, including supporting hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and competencies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized workflows for rooming, intake, documentation, and task management.
  • Support organizational training and competency standardization related to back office workflows and operations.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant EHR documentation practices and support audit readiness.
  • Support compliance with state, federal, and HRSA requirements through operational controls, staff training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate operational components of infection control and safety processes, escalating clinical issues appropriately.
  • Address patient and staff concerns related to back office operations in collaboration with other leaders and departments.
  • Oversee inventory, supplies, and equipment readiness.
  • Collaborate with providers and leadership to remove operational barriers.
  • Support strategic and quality goals through operational execution and continuous improvement.
  • Serves as the lead for varying programs within the clinic, such as VFC, VFA, PCMH, and other programs as assigned.
