About The Position

We are looking for a full-time Clinic Manager – Registered Nurse to support medical and safety efforts at a large-scale construction site located in Clay, NY. This project is anticipated to last multiple years with exact timing to be determined by client requirements. Management and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the occupational clinic. Responsible for providing leadership, staff oversight, training and development and management of administrative processes, personnel, clerical, technical, and maintenance functions; planning and assigning duties to employees; monitoring the activities of all operating components to assure provision of high-quality employee care. Provides direct clinical care for employees, as appropriate. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN license in the state of New York.
  • Must hold a current BLS certification.
  • 3+ years’ experience of management and supervisory experience required, healthcare management experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Strong critical thinking skills; problem solving, and decision making.
  • Must have the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to create and edit written materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and clients.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as assist other team members when needed.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Cority experience a plus.
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
  • Ability to work under stressful, sometimes unpredictable situations.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of medical equipment, performing procedures, computer keyboard; Use hands/fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or climb stairs; Some bending and stretching could be required.
  • Ability to kneel and perform chest compressions for CPR life saving measures.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Air quality is good, and temperature is controlled.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nurse preferred.
  • NIOSH, CAOHC DOT Drug and Alcohol testing certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best in class customer service to client’s employees, management, and vendor partners.
  • Oversee daily clinic operations assuring compliance with all WorkCare clinic administrative and personnel management policies and procedures.
  • Understand and strive to meet and exceed client expectations for an on-site clinic and staff.
  • Responsible for understanding all deliverables of contractual agreement.
  • Participate in all internal WorkCare meetings as requested/assigned.
  • Participate in all client-owned and driven on-site meetings as approved by the Program Manager-Onsite Services.
  • Reports directly to and communicates regularly with WorkCare Program Manager-Onsite Services.
  • Advise Program Manager-Onsite Services of all potential out of scope of work requests/challenges.
  • Understands the clinic manager’s role in each clinical situation as related to their professional qualification.
  • Communicates with and takes direction in clinical matters directly from the assigned WorkCare Corporate Medical Director (CMD).
  • Assist Program Manager-Onsite Services in the new hire and on-boarding process.
  • Supervise staff, approve staff time sheets, coach, develop, mentor staff and complete all required performance reviews.
  • Manage clinic schedule in accordance with contractual agreement.
  • Supervise all daily clinical and administrative clinic programs and supporting process(s).
  • Assure clinic is maintained to the highest physical cleanliness and operating standards.
  • Maintain all clinic equipment and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain and manage the electronic medical records system assuring all employee medical information is secure and confidential.
  • Assure all clinic employees have access, are trained and utilize the electronic medical records system. Work towards elimination of paper records, as appropriate.
  • Manage all external and internal vendor relationships.
  • Identify new opportunities for clinic programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive injury management and medical case management of work-related injuries and illness as appropriate.
  • Provide direct clinical care and emergency response as appropriate
  • Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by the Program Manager for the efficient operation of the WorkCare on-site clinic.
  • Communicate and partner with the client under the direction and oversight of the Program Manager.
