About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Clinic, Ambulatory Care, Urgent Care for a 24-week travel assignment in Juneau, AK. Contract Details Shift Information: Urgent care hours 8am-8pm. Shifts vary across days and hours. Start Date: 5/18/2026 Contract: 24 weeks Location: Juneau, AK 99801 Hourly Pay: $ 57.00 Non-taxed Stipend: $1,246.00 Weekly Total Pay: $2,785.00 Bed Size: 50-149 Holiday Coverage Required: Yes EMR Used: Meditech Vaccine Requirements: FLU vaccine required. Traveler Policy: Only accepts traveler profile applications from travelers that live at least 50+ miles away from the facility address they are working at. Rate is all inclusive and client will not be providing housing or flights Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after traveler's fingerprint cards are received in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, please have your traveler make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid start date getting pushed back. This position functions within the Urgent Care Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the Clinic. Maintains skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participates in in-services and educational programs within the Clinic as assigned; completes all mandatory training; attends and participates in staff meetings; adheres to infection control policy and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment, reporting any defective or missing equipment and safety hazards; refers un-resolved problems with patients/coworkers/visitors to department manager or administrative manager for resolution; addresses employee concerns consistent with Human Resources Policy.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of urgent care experience
  • Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license at time of submittal.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proof of FLU Vaccine required
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Nursing process and the ability to apply this in the working environment.
  • Customer service principles.
  • Safety and infection control principles.
  • Completing assessments, anticipation of needs, and specimen collection.
  • Use of equipment such as computers and medical equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Multi-task and work independently in fast paced environment.
  • Be a team-player.
  • Willing to teach when appropriate.
  • Problem-solve and use critical thinking skills to develop and maintain good working relations with other staff and departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinic staff and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services, efficient utilization of resources and compliance with SEARHC standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the clinic staff ensuring efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic to include the front desk and patient care to all patients.
  • Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PAR system.
  • Ensure that the necessary quality control checks are done with the Point of Care tests.
  • Clearly and correctly document all care and services provided in the clinic, completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of their provider clinics.

  • Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating the needs of these individuals to ensure efficient and quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource for their patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff.
