About The Position

Critical Care is a 10-bed unit providing critical care for patients with both medical and surgical diagnosis. Performs care requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Job Description: RN-CCU-Full-Time Complete/ document assessments and changes. Update care plan each shift with measurable goals. Evaluate interventions and patient response . Develop education and discharge plans. Communicate status and ensure accurate documentation. Deliver care per policy and physician orders. Implement care and education plans. Perform procedures, handle emergencies. Assist staff, direct activities , monitor compliance. Facilitate patient flow. = Delegate tasks appropriately. Act in emergent situations. Use SBAR/ARCC for communication. Identify and address care needs promptly. Promote safety and attention to detail. Lead and promote teamwork. Set priorities, organize workload. Provide accurate reports, delegate tasks. Act as role model and resource. Support orientation and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
  • BLS required n ew employees requiring CPR -Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment .
  • Glucometer Training Basic Cardiac Arrythmia NIH Stroke Certification, 12 Lead Training Aegis Training Nurse Wound Care Training
