Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full clinical journey for patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, from initial physical and psychological assessment to the precise execution of discharge planning.
  • Lead the administration of conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring, acting as the primary advocate for patient safety and stability throughout the interventional process.
  • Coordinate real-time communication with physicians and the surgical team, providing critical status updates that ensure seamless, well-informed decision-making during high-stakes procedures.
  • Execute evidence-based nursing interventions and patient education, ensuring that both the patient and their family are culturally and clinically prepared for recovery and long-term heart health.
  • Optimize the procedural environment by expertly preparing specialized equipment and sterile supplies, ensuring the team is fully equipped for every diagnostic and therapeutic intervention.
