Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Manage the full clinical journey for patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures, from initial physical and psychological assessment to the precise execution of discharge planning.
Lead the administration of conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring, acting as the primary advocate for patient safety and stability throughout the interventional process.
Coordinate real-time communication with physicians and the surgical team, providing critical status updates that ensure seamless, well-informed decision-making during high-stakes procedures.
Execute evidence-based nursing interventions and patient education, ensuring that both the patient and their family are culturally and clinically prepared for recovery and long-term heart health.
Optimize the procedural environment by expertly preparing specialized equipment and sterile supplies, ensuring the team is fully equipped for every diagnostic and therapeutic intervention.
