About The Position

This Cardiac Telemetry RN role offers the opportunity to care for a diverse mix of monitored cardiac and medical patients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. The unit includes 50 beds with a focus on cardiac conditions such as CHF, Afib, chronic renal failure, and geriatric comorbidities. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1, with efforts underway to move to 5:1. RNs in this role will work with supportive leadership, strong resource teams, and structured clinical pathways that promote professional growth.

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Florida or Compact).
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience—acute care preferred; LTACH, home health, and rehab RNs will be considered if clinically strong.
  • ADN or Nursing Diploma.
  • American Heart Association BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN.
  • Prior experience in Telemetry, Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care.
  • ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care within a monitored cardiac/telemetry environment.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using clinical judgment and telemetry monitoring proficiency.
  • Recognize and manage changes in cardiac rhythms and escalate care appropriately.
  • Administer medications and perform interventions aligned with patient acuity and care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and ongoing self-management.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical documentation standards.
